Endangered Species Senior Exhibit 

Artist Statement: 

I am a graphic artist who specializes in graphic design and decided to go with vector illustrations to keep it simple yet still effective.  I went with a flat vector style to create these animals. This is a series of 6 endangered animals that are dying because of the climate crisis. Each animal will be an outline comprised of the objects that make up what is ultimately leading to their death and their endangered status. I’m creating posters that show the beauty of the animal but when you look closer you’ll begin to  see the deeper content within. 

This body of work is dear to my heart because of how I always grew up being taught that there is no planet B and that we should take care of the one we are inhabiting now.  The globe is warming, glaciers are shrinking, habitats are being lost, poaching is prevalent, and entire ecosystems are disappearing. The creation of this series required tons of research. This research was sad but it's the new reality so it had to be learned and I knew I had to depict it in my work. I hope that by viewing these pieces you will stop and think and question how you yourself could help save these animals.
